| With reference to news item appearing in leading financial daily titled "Balrampur Chini hauled up for fudging accounts", Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd has clarified to as under :
"The Department of Corporate Affair has inspected the Books of Accounts, Records and other papers of the Company under Section 209A of the Companies Act, 1956 Some minor violations including that of Accounting Standards / regrouping / re-arrangement of previous year's figures have been pointed out by the Department in the Inspection Report. Accordingly, Show Cause Notices were issued by the Department. Thereafter, the Company compounded all these offenses before the Company Law Board and the Regional Director. The matter has been disposed of. |
