ACC - Announces Consolidated Q1 results

ACC Ltd has announced the following Consolidated Standalone Unaudited results for the quarter ended March 31, 2010: The Group has posted a net profit of Rs 3928.790 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2010 where as the same was at Rs 3993.415 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2009. Total Income is Rs 23022.916 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2010 where as the same was at Rs 22178.289 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2009. The above results for the quarter ended March 31, 2010 are not strictly comparable with the corresponding previous period, due to the following : (a) 100% stake in Encore Cement & Additives Private Limited w.e.f. January 28, 2010, a Company engaged in manufacturing and supply of ground slag. (b) 100% Investment in National Limestone Company Pvt. Ltd. w.e.f. April 20, 2009. The effect of the operations of these entities on the results is not significant.
