Tata eyes Deutsche Tele unit The Tata group plans to buy a stake in a high-tech unit of Germany's Deutsche Telekom which would see thousands of jobs moving to India, according to a report published in a German weekly news magazine 'Focus'. In a report in its upcoming issue, the news magazine said the Indian group — specialising in high-tech, automobiles and steel — was on the verge of acquiring the systems integration business of Deutsche Telekom unit T-Systems. It said there were only a few final legal issues to resolve. The Deutsche Telekom unit employs about 13,000 IT specialists. The magazine said about half of those jobs would now be sent to India. A Deutsche Telekom spokesman declined to comment.

L&T - Allotment of Shares Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T) has informed that the Company has allotted 3,43,412 ((Three Lakhs Fourty Three Thousand Four Hundred Twelve) shares on January 28, 2008 to those grantees who had exercised their options under the Company's Employee Stock Ownership / Option Scheme. The said shares will rank pari-passu with the existing shares of the Company in all respects.
