Bharti partners VMware for cloud computing services

India's Bharti Airtel has partnered with U.S.-based software maker VMware Inc to focus on the cloud-based managed computer services market, the top Indian telecoms firm said in a statement.

Cloud computing is a fast-growing way of selling services via the Web without physical software.

VMware's technology lets companies boost the efficiency of computer servers, saving money on hardware and maintenance. VMware is the top maker of virtualization software.
