JetBlue Airways adopts Kerala IT company’s solution

City-based IBS Software Services has inked a deal with JetBlue Airways under which it will provide web-based solution to the American low cost airline to manage its cargo operations.

Built on new generation technology, IBS’s iCargo solution is designed to handle the cargo movement of freighters, passenger and cargo carriers, ground handling agents and airports in the areas of cargo sales, reservations and cargo revenue accounting.

“Designed for multiple users, the system is extremely user friendly, especially for a system that handles such a complex business as moving cargo. There was just no other solution that could compare with IBS’ iCargo solution.” said Ed McDonald, JetBlue Cargo head.

New York-based JetBlue connects 61 cities with over 600 flights every day.

Winner of the IT Systems Provider of the Year at Air Cargo India 2010, IBS’ iCargo is fully compliant with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) initiatives such as Cargo 2000 and e-Freight.

iCargo’s customers include leading names like Qantas, Tokyo International Airport, All Nippon Airways, Kingfisher, Austrian and Nippon Cargo Airlines.

IBS is a leading global provider of new generation IT solutions to the travel, transportation and logistics industries and operates from 12 global business centres in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.
