RBI's credit policy
RBI has announced its credit policy werein major imputes is given on combatting inflation. The steps taken include tax 10% on export of cold-rolled steel coils, cut import duty on skimmed milk powder, butter oil, cut duties on pig iron, other iron products, extend sunset clause on software tax breaks to March 2010, leaves repo rate unchenged and hikes CRR by 25 bps.
